The displayed rules
The board states 1 cat per color, 1 cat per row/column and Cats cannot touch. The hint also excludes neighboring cells. Place a single cat in each colored region, row and column while keeping cats apart horizontally, vertically and diagonally.
Use confirmed cats to rule out cells
The second Level 1 capture shows three of four cats and white X marks on excluded cells. Start from a confirmed cat: eliminate its row, column and neighboring cells, then inspect the remaining cells in each color region. A position must satisfy all three rules at once.
Understand the hint before applying it
The Level 3 hint explains that no other cat can share the selected cat’s row, column or neighboring cells and offers APPLY. Use the explanation to understand why cells are excluded.
